Reimbursify works with all primary private health insurance plans (including Tricare and Medicare Advantage), with the following exceptions: Traditional Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation, EPO plans (some) HMO plans. We will *not* be able to submit reimbursement claims on your behalf to these insurers/plans. Reimbursify also does not work with secondary health insurance plans.

If your practitioner is a member of our Practice Pro (or our new Practice Plus plan) there is no charge to file a claim at all. If your practitioner is not participating in one of our membership plans, after you file your first claim for free, it’s only $3.99 per claim, or you can buy a 10-pack for only $29.99.

Reimbursify works with almost all outpatient claims using the CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) & ICD-10 (International Classification of Disease) coding systems. This includes claims by most mental health practitioners, physical therapists, physicians, etc.

We have successfully processed reimbursement claims for mental health, physical therapy, and these types of practitioners. This does not guarantee that your care with one of these types of practitioners will be covered by your plan.

A superbill is a special type of receipt that is provided to a patient by a healthcare practitioner for submitting reimbursement claims to insurance companies. Superbills contain detailed information about the patient, the practitioner, and the visit.

Our digitized process gets claims delivered to insurance payers’ processing hubs within hours. While many payers will process the claims within a week or two, we do recommend allowing four to 6 weeks for processing since that is a time frame stipulated by most states.

In most cases, to receive reimbursement for out-of-network services by a provider requires that you have a PPO insurance plan. Every plan has different levels of deductible and reimbursement rates, and the amount of money you get back will depend upon your individual plan.

To learn exactly what your benefits are, you can check the online portal of your insurance company or call them directly. Alternatively, if you get your insurance through your work, you can reach out to your HR representative, who may be able to provide benefit info.

Yes, you can! It is common for patients to see the same practitioner for the same treatment multiple times (weekly therapy sessions are common with our users).

If all of the information on your superbills is the same (same doctor, same treatment codes, same place of service, same price) except the date, all you have to do is tap to select multiple dates on the “Date of Service” screen when filing a claim via our mobile app, as in this example.

Yes, you can. In fact, it’s common when people first learn about Reimbursify to have already visited an out-of-network provider multiple times. Most health insurance companies allow a reimbursement claim to be filed up to one year after the date of your service.

This includes claims by most mental health practitioners, physical therapists, physicians, etc. This also includes many claims for eye exams by optometrists and ophthalmologists, as well as care provided by certain dental practitioners (such as those who treat obstructive sleep apnea, for example).

Reimbursify cannot currently file claims for routine dental exams/procedures, or for eye care services that do not involve a licensed practitioner, such as the purchase of glasses or contact lenses.
